Sheer Sleeveless Blouse with Studded Collar: My Review

Sleeveless Blouses - Example

I have always been quite a fan of the sleeveless blouses with collars. They were one of the number one trends of spring and summer. So of course when I found this blue sheer top with a studded collar at Rue21, I just had to buy it (plus I wanted something with studs).

In this photo, I wore a tube top instead of a bandeau.

I was a bit hesitant in wearing the top. I didn't want to wear a tank top underneath. I wanted to try the bandeau style. Of course, I've had some difficulty getting a bandeau that fit well. But I've got it to work out to my desiring!

I paired the sheer top with a pair of blue jeans and wedges. I was slightly overdressed for the occasion I was attending (doctor's appointment), but I simply felt like trying out the look.

What I liked about the top was that is was lightweight and stylish. I love studs, so I paired the top with a studded belt I can't seem to give up! I also liked how I showed a little skin but was still covered up. Given that I'm getting older, I don't mind wanting to be a little sexy at times, but I still like to dress semi-modest (if that's even a term).

What I didn't like about the top was that it wasn't dark enough so my entire belly was showing through. I should have put on a tank top, but I just didn't want to apparently.

Overall, the blouse is adorable, and I liked trying this style for the first time. I suggest wearing at tank top or tube top for those tops that aren't dark enough or are too sheer to wear a bandeau. I also suggest only pairing the top with jeans or capris. Considered it's revealing, you don't want to show to much skin. Plus pairing them with skirts will look too busy. I suggest blouses that stop at the waistline for skirts and shorts.

Well that's all for now, loves! Happy Shopping ;D

How to Wear the Color Yellow

Ah, summer! The time of the year where we get to kick back and enjoy the heat of the sun while sipping on ice cold lemonade or taking a large bite out of our ice cream sundaes. And one color I've noticed for the pass week is yellow.

For some people, yellow can be hard to pull off. It's a very bright color and it can catch the attention of many people. However, yellow shouldn't be a hard to wear. It gives off an exciting vibe, perfect for anyone with tons of energy.

I found different fashion pieces in yellow, and I'm here to share how you should work them!

Yellow Dress

If you're looking for a relax, comfortable look, take a simple dress in yellow and pair it with Converse. Coat your wrists with bracelets and bangles. Grab your tote bag for a stroll in the park or window shopping (of course...bring some cash!)

Yellow Bikini

My goals for the summer are to workout intensely, eat right, and bask in the sun's natural light so that I can have a healthy body when I go to the beach and start school. If you're trying to find something flirty for a trip to the beach, try a yellow bikini with floral detail or a ruffle-trim bandeau bikini--both from Boohoo. Cover up with a pair of denim shorts and heart-shaped shades. You can never go wrong with sparkly sandals and a beach tote.

Yellow Shoes

If you're like my mom, you probably have tons of shoes in many colors and styles. Work a pair of yellow pumps with high-waist pants and a crochet cropped top in pink. Gold accent pieces compliment these shoes, so stick with gold bangles, a gold layered necklace, and drop earrings. For extra style points, put on a floppy hat and Chanel shades.

Yellow truly is a pretty color. Be happy! Much love, dolls ;-*

Candy Crush Inspired Fashion

One of the number one addicting games for mobile devices and Facebook is the infamous Candy Crush Saga. Being number 3 in the Top Free Apps on iTunes and number one in Top Grossing Apps, it's very clear that Candy Crush is taking over the gaming world with one, sweet candy-filled level at a time.

In this post, I'm using the top game as fashion inspiration. I guess you can say that I'm highly addicted to the game (level 104! Sorry to brag!) Just like Jewel Mania and Jewel Quest, I'm completely hooked to the sugary app. Jewel Quest and Candyland wrapped into one sweet wrapper (okay okay! I'll stop with the candy metaphors).

I used the three characters to create this sweet and fashionable styles that are perfect for the summer!

Tiffi

Tiffi is the little blonde girl with pigtails. She is the main character of the game and leads us through each level and episode. To get her look, pair a light pink dress with a Peter Pan collar and pink ballet flats for the innocent look. Carry around your sweet goodies in a lovely, pink tote bag, perfect for a day out shopping. Refrain from looking like a seven year-old girl by wearing your hair in knotted pigtails (tutorial found on Seventeen Magazine.)

Mr. Toffee

Mr. Toffee is the guide that helps the player understand the rules and objectives of the game. Kind of like the ringleader, he's featured in the beginning of every level to state what needs to be done (gather up the ingredient, clear the jelly, obtain X number of points, etc.) Get his look when you pair a stripe sweater with striped pants and a red blazer. Black and white oxfords are totally classy, and stick with gold accent jewelry to resemble Mr. Toffee's monocle and cuff-links.

The Yeti

The Yeti owns the sweetshop where the player can purchase items to help in the game or to send to friends. We encounter the Yeti in the Mountain episode. Get his look when you pair a white peplum top with multicolored striped pants and white, cork wedges. Look even more sweet with sparkly nail polish, stud earrings in pink, and a geometric ring. Carry around any essentials in a polka-dot backpack!

Well, that's all I have for now loves! Happy playing!
